The only thing I did differently is we don’t have access to fresh button mushrooms (and for some weird reason, they are the only ones my hubby will eat) and so had to use 2 6.5 ounce cans. I am glad you want to give this recipe a try. If you don't have wine.. simply don't use, the recipe will be as good without, don't really need a substitute.

I am sure it would work well, you can definitely try with a mix of mushrooms, slice them if too big and I am sure they are going to be delicious.
