In reply to Lisa. The recipe is meant for an 8-inch (20cm) pan. The layers of cakes are not tall indeed, as they are more dense, brownie-like, not fluffy and tall like sponge cakes.

Another amazing recipe from you! Made this as the main Christmas cake and everyone was so impressed. It looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Thank you for sharing another wonderful recipe! This cake looks nice but in reality it’s very short. I had to double the recipe as the brownies were thin like pancakes . Not great!

If you try to watch the video without skipping it should work smoothly. Also, you can always see the video recipes on YouTube on my channel. See which version works best for you.
