This flavorful Salmon Dip is an elegant appetizer, a delightful spread and a great addition to any party platter. It is perfect for spreading on crusty bread or crackers or served with vegetable sticks.

It combines the rich, savory flavor of cooked salmon with the smooth creaminess of cream cheese. The dip is infused with aromatic fresh dill and tangy lemon zest, creating a flavorful blend of flavors. Finely diced onion adds a subtle crunch balancing the creamy texture perfectly.

This Salmon Dip with its sophisticated taste and creamy texture is sure to impress your guests.

How to make the best salmon dip

To create this salmon dip, start by flaking the baked salmon into small pieces, ensuring to remove any bones and skin. This recipe is a great way to use any leftover salmon.

Transfer the flaked salmon into a medium-sized bowl. Add the cream cheese, chopped onion, lemon juice, lemon zest, fresh dill, salt and pepper. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.

Taste the dip and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.

Transfer the dip to a serving dish. Cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Before serving, garnish the dip with fresh dill and freshly ground black pepper if desired.

Serve the salmon dip with crackers, vegetable sticks or toasted bread for a delightful appetizer. Don’t forget to tag me on your Instagram posts or stories. I love to see how it turns out for you. Enjoy!

These Salmon Patties are an amazing dish that’s both simple and bursting with flavor. They are quick and easy to prepare, with a crispy golden crust and a tender center. They make a great appetizer with your favorite dipping sauce or a satisfying main course for lunch or dinner, complemented by your favorite side dish.

Starting with the fresh salmon, we mix in some diced green onions, red peppers, and garlic for a satisfying crunch and a touch of warmth.

Fresh parsley and dill add a delightful, herby touch that complements the salmon beautifully. A squeeze of lemon and a dash of its zest provide a zesty kick, balancing out the richness of the salmon. The eggs ensure everything stays together, giving you that perfect bite every time. A light coat of breadcrumbs creates a golden, crispy crust, giving way to a tender, flavorful center.

These Salmon Patties are a simple yet delightful way to savor the goodness of fresh salmon, a true treat that everybody will love. For this recipe you can also consider using canned salmon.

We like to serve these patties with Tzatziki sauce or a dill sauce made with sour cream or Greek yogurt.

How to make salmon patties

Begin by handling fresh salmon fillets. Carefully remove the skin and cut the fish into manageable chunks.

Next, transfer the salmon pieces into the bowl of a food processor. Process them for a brief period, aiming for a ground consistency with still-visible small chunks.

Move the processed salmon into a generously sized mixing bowl. Continue by finely chopping green onions and red pepper. Add them to the salmon mixture. Include the remaining ingredients: minced garlic, fresh parsley, dill, zesty lemon juice and zest, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, and eggs. Using a spatula, gently combine all the ingredients.

In a nonstick skillet, heat about 1 tbsp olive oil over medium heat.

Prepare a plate with a ⅓ cup of breadcrumbs. Now, take spoonfuls of the salmon mixture, flattening them with your hands, and coat them with breadcrumbs on both sides.

Cook each salmon patty for approximately 3 minutes or until the bottom turns golden and crispy. Flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes on the other side. Transfer the patties to paper towels to allow excess oil to drain.

Serve the salmon patties while still warm, accompanied by your favorite sauce. Use either Tzatziki Sauce, tartar sauce or a flavorful dill sauce. Hope you will try them out. If you do, share the photos with me on Instagram. Would love to see how they turn out for you. Enjoy!

This Potato Crusted Sea Bass with Lemon Sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for lunch or dinner.

During our time in Rome, we had the wonderful opportunity to savor the flavors of Italy, and one dish that captivated our taste buds was a potato-crusted fish fillet. Not only is it incredibly tasty, but it’s also easy to make. Potatoes and fish have always been a winning combination, and this recipe takes it to a whole new level. Imagine a tender and flaky fish fillet, encased in a crispy and golden potato crust. The contrast of textures creates a delightful symphony in every bite. When I returned home, I knew I had to prepare this dish for my daughters, and they loved it just as much as I did.

To enhance the flavors even further, instead of the traditional lemon wedge, I paired the fish with a luscious lemon sauce that I absolutely adore. Its bold lemony taste and velvety smoothness add an extra layer of wonderfulness to the dish. The combination of the tangy sauce and the succulent sea bass is truly a match made in culinary heaven.

While I used sea bass fillets for this recipe, you can easily substitute them with any other type of fish fillets that you prefer. The beauty of the potato crust is its versatility, allowing you to enjoy this delightful dish with a variety of fish options. So feel free to experiment and discover your personal favorite.

How to make potato crusted fish fillet

Prepare the fish by removing the skin if necessary and cutting the fillets in half if they’re too large. Season each fillet with salt and pepper.

Peel the potatoes and grate them using the big holes of a grater. Squeeze out as much liquid as possible using a kitchen towel, then place the grated potatoes in a large bowl. Add chives, salt, and pepper, and stir to combine.

In a non-stick pan, heat grapeseed oil and butter over medium heat. Take some of the potato mixture and spread it in the pan, making it about the same size as the fish fillet. Place the fish fillet on top and cover it with more potato mixture. Gently press it down with a spoon. Cook for approximately 5 minutes on each side until the crust turns golden brown and the fish is fully cooked. Repeat this process for the remaining fish fillets.

How to make the lemon sauce

First, wash the lemons and carefully peel off the yellow part, leaving behind the white pith. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil, then add the lemon peels and boil them for 2 minutes. Repeat this step multiple times to reduce bitterness. Allow the lemon peels to cool slightly before transferring them to a blender. Add olive oil, lemon juice, salt, sugar, and water, and blend until smooth. Strain the sauce, cover it, and refrigerate until ready to use, up to 4 days.

Place the potato-crusted fish on a plate, accompanied by the prepared lemon sauce and your favorite vegetables.

I sincerely hope that you give this Potato Crusted Sea Bass a try and experience the sheer joy it brings. May this recipe bring you and your loved ones great pleasure, just as it has for me and my family.

Potato Crusted Sea Bass with Lemon Sauce

While in Rome we had the chance to enjoy some of the Italian dishes and among them we’ve tried a potato crusted fish fillet which I found very delicious. Potato and fish have always made a good match, this flaky tender fish with crispy potato crust is one of the best ways to serve them.

Ingredients

For the Fish

  • 20 oz (600g) potatoes
  • 2 tbsp (about 4g) chives , chopped
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) salt
  • 2 tbsp (28g) grapeseed oil
  • 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter
  • 2 sea bass fillets - (about 6 oz-a170g each)
  • Salt and Pepper

Lemon Sauce

  • peel from 5 lemons
  • 1/4 cup (56ml) olive oil
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) water
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) salt
  • 1 tsp (5g) sugar
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) lemon juice

Instructions

Prepare the lemon sauce.

  • Wash the lemons and peel them. We only need the yellow peel without the white pith as much as possible.
  • In a small saucepan bring water to a boil. Only when the water is boiling add lemon peels and let them boil for 2 minutes. Drain and repeat this step for 5 or 6 times. It is important to repeat this step as it reduces the bitterness and removes the wax found on the lemon peels if any.
  • Let the lemon peel cool slightly and then place them in the bowl of the blender. Add olive oil, lemon juice, salt, sugar and water.
  • Process for a couple of minutes until well blended and smooth.
  • Sieve the sauce, cover and refrigerate until ready to use.  The sauce can be stored refrigerated for up to 4 days.

Prepare the fish.

  • Remove skin of the fillets if any. Cut fillets in two if too big to handle. Season each with salt and pepper.
  • Peel the potatoes and grate using the big holes of the grater.
  • Transfer the potatoes into a kitchen towel and squeeze as much liquid as you possible can.
  • Place the potatoes into a large bowl. Add chives, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • In a non-stick pan heat 1 tbsp of grapeseed oil (or any other flavorless vegetable oil) and 1 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Spread some potato mixture into the pan about the size of the fish fillet. Add fish fillet on top and cover with potato mixture. Press with the spoon slightly. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown and fish is cooked through. Repeat with the remaining fish fillets.
  • Serve the potato crusted fish with lemon sauce and your favorite vegetables. Enjoy!

Salmon is one of the most delicious and healthy fish you can prepare for your family or friends as is full of vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids. I usually like to use wild caught salmon whenever that is possible as it contains more minerals and less fat. This Baked Sesame Salmon is one of my favorite recipes I make pretty often for my family.

Baked Sesame Salmon on Baking Sheet

This Baked Sesame Salmon recipe is very easy and quick to prepare. The salmon pieces are marinated in a soy sauce, honey, ginger, sesame oil, and garlic mixture which gives salmon a great flavor and a great balance between sweet and spicy. There’s no way not to fall in love with this recipe from the first bite.

You can serve this Baked Sesame Salmon with your favorite roasted veggies and alongside rice.

How to make baked sesame salmon

Begin by combining ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil in a small bowl to create a flavorful marinade.

Next, cut the salmon into four pieces and season each piece with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Transfer the seasoned salmon pieces to a bowl and pour the soy sauce marinade over them. Cover the bowl and allow the salmon to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for enhanced flavor.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.

Arrange the marinated salmon pieces on the prepared baking pan and bake them for 15-20 minutes.

During baking, periodically brush the top of the salmon pieces with the marinade for added flavor infusion.

Once the salmon is cooked to perfection, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onion over the top for a delightful garnish.

Serve the baked salmon immediately over a bed of rice and alongside your favorite vegetables for a delicious and nutritious meal.

Fish is one of my family’s favorite type of meat, we cook with fish more than twice a week. It’s light, healthy, and full of vitamins and minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids. My daughters enjoy fish meals, especially like this Oven Grilled Fish, served with sour cream and garlic sauce or with my homemade lemon sauce.

We usually like fresh water fish, like trout, zander or bass, but we cook salmon and other types of fish as well. Whenever grilling outside is not possible, this method is one of the easiest ways to grill fish indoors. This Oven Grilled Fish is healthy, quick, and delicious, making a great meal.

I like to make some scores into the surface of the fish so all the good flavors combine. You can do that for either a whole fish or a fish fillet.

These days we bought a wild captured zander, one of our favorites, as the meat is very firm, and white, the flavor is very delicate and the bones are easy to remove. If zander is not available in your area use this method presented here for any other type of firm fish. It will work as well.

How to make Oven Grilled Fish

Start by scoring the fish’s surface with a sharp knife in 3 or 4 places. Sprinkle salt, pepper, lemongrass, and any desired herbs on all sides of the fish, including the inside. Place the seasoned fish in a bowl, cover it with foil, and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat your oven to 450F (230C) using the grill function. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil and place a rack on top to allow grease to drip. Put the fish on the rack and drizzle a little butter or vegetable oil over it. Put the tray in the preheated oven.

Allow the fish to cook for approximately 20-30 minutes, or until the skin becomes crispy and lightly golden. Keep a close watch to avoid burning.

Meanwhile, prepare the sour cream mixture by combining sour cream with minced garlic and salt.

Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the oven. Serve it with the sour cream mixture, lemon sauce, or lemon slices alongside your favorite side dish. Hope you will try it out and enjoy this delicious meal! If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Would love to see how it turns out for you.

My daughters have a fondness for tuna in all its forms, often requesting the “pink-colored meat” with enthusiasm. To keep things interesting, I’m always on the lookout for new ways to serve it. Creating these Potato Tuna Patties has proven to be one of the most successful approaches.

These tuna patties are easy to make, using simple ingredients you have in your pantry and fridge, and pretty quick too. You can even have your potatoes boiled one day before and save some more time. Tuna in combination with mashed potato, corn, lemon, and green onion seems to be a winner for our family and I am certain it will be for you too. Just give them a try.

The beautiful thing about these potato tuna patties is that they can be served either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner alongside a fresh salad and your favorite dipping sauce, either as an appetizer. They keep well refrigerated and can be used for the next day’s meal, either warm or cold.

How to make potato tuna patties

Start by mashing the boiled potatoes using a potato masher until smooth. Next, add the tuna flakes and mix them in with a fork. Then, incorporate the corn kernels, chopped spring onions, egg, and breadcrumbs into the mixture.

Finish by adding lemon zest and seasoning with salt and pepper, stirring well to ensure everything is thoroughly combined. Divide the mixture into 12 portions and shape them into patties. Coat each patty with breadcrumbs by pressing them gently onto each side.

In a nonstick pan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Cook the patties for approximately 3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown. Once cooked, transfer the patties to a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.

If needed, clean the pan with a paper towel before repeating the cooking process for any remaining patties. Serve the patties with your favorite salad and sauce—we recommend trying them with our homemade chili jam for an extra kick of flavor.

Hope you will try these delightful potato tuna patties. If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Enjoy your delicious meal!

This Smoked Salmon Carbonara is so easy to prepare that you don’t need more than 15 minutes to have this all done and ready to be served. It is a quick meal,  looks appetizing and your guests or family will enjoy it.

Pasta Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish based on eggs, cheese, pancetta or bacon, and black pepper.

I aimed to create a slightly healthier Carbonara recipe by substituting smoked salmon for bacon. Additionally, I included lemon zest and chives as garnish to enhance both the flavor and appearance of the dish. Unlike traditional recipes, this version excludes additional cream, relying solely on eggs and Parmesan for creaminess. The result exceeded my expectations; it was incredibly delicious.

How to make Smoked Salmon Carbonara

Begin by cooking the pasta until it’s al dente in lightly salted water.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, whisk together the eggs, cheese, and pepper. Set this mixture aside.

Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the garlic until it’s softened, then add the salmon. Warm the salmon through; since it’s already cooked, it just needs heating. Remove the pan from the heat.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain it, reserving some of the cooking water. Return the pasta to the pan with the garlic and salmon. Stir to ensure the pasta is well coated.

Next, add the egg mixture and chives to the pasta. Toss everything together thoroughly, allowing the heat from the pasta to cook the eggs. Adjust the consistency with the reserved cooking water as needed.

Finally, serve the dish with freshly ground black pepper, grated Parmesan cheese, and a sprinkle of lemon zest on top.

Hope you will try this recipe for Salmon Carbonara and let me know if you try it out.  If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Enjoy!

Coat the salmon with the soy sauce mixture, then place it in a large casserole dish. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, turning the salmon once during this time.

Preheat the grill for cooking over medium heat.

Lightly oil the grill rack. Place the marinated salmon on the preheated grill and cook for about 8 minutes on each side until it’s cooked through.

If you enjoy tuna, you should try this Tuna and Red Onion Pizza. This homemade pizza features a thin, crispy crust topped with a delicious blend of cheese, tuna, red onion, black olives, and fresh basil leaves. The combination of these ingredients creates a wonderful flavor profile that adds a unique twist to classic pizza recipes.

Making this pizza at home is easy and rewarding. The savory tuna pairs perfectly with the slightly sweet and sharp red onion, while the black olives add a touch of briny richness. Fresh basil leaves provide a fragrant, herby note that ties all the flavors together beautifully.

This Tuna and Red Onion Pizza is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a casual weeknight dinner or a special gathering with friends and family. It’s a delightful change from traditional pizza toppings and is sure to impress anyone who tries it. Give this recipe a try and enjoy the delicious combination of flavors that make this pizza truly special.

How to make Tuna and Red Onion Pizza

Start by preparing the dough. For this begin with mixing flour with salt and sugar in a large bowl. Dissolve the fresh yeast in warm water and add it to the flour mixture. Add oil and mix everything. Using your hands or a mixer, knead the dough until it’s smooth and pulls away from the side of the bowl. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise at room temperature for about 1 hour, until it has doubled in size.

Meanwhile, prepare the tomato sauce. In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook for a few seconds, then stir in paprika and pureed tomatoes. Add sugar, basil, oregano, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, lower the heat, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes until the sauce reaches the right consistency for spreading on your pizza. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before using.

How to bake the pizza

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch the dough down, knead it, and split it into two pieces. Shape each piece into a ball, then roll them out into circles about 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter. Place each circle in a greased pizza pan and punch some holes in the dough with a fork.

Spread the tomato sauce over the dough and sprinkle with oregano and basil. Distribute half of the tuna chunks, red onion slices, and olives over the dough, and place half of the mozzarella slices on top.

Bake in the preheated oven, using the setting for heat from the bottom, for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the edges of the crust are golden brown.

Before serving, garnish with fresh red onion slices and basil leaves.

Hope you will try it out and enjoy your homemade pizza with tuna! If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Would love to see how it turns out for you.
