This Chicken Apple Skillet is a flavorful, hearty dish that combines seasoned chicken with the sweet, tangy notes of apples. To prepare, sear boneless chicken breasts or thighs until golden brown, locking in their natural juices. Next, add thinly sliced apples, such as Gala or Honeycrisp, which bring a sweet balance to the savory chicken. A sprinkle of herbs like thyme or rosemary enhances the aroma and adds an earthy note to the dish.

Deglaze the skillet with chicken or vegetable stock and add garlic, honey and apple cider vinegar to create a light, flavorful sauce that ties the ingredients together. As the dish simmers, the sweet and savory flavors meld into a delicious harmony, with the apples softening just enough to complement the tender chicken.

Serve this chicken apple skillet over mashed potatoes, rice, or alongside roasted vegetables for a comforting, satisfying meal. With its simple preparation and perfectly balanced flavors, this dish makes an excellent choice for a cozy weeknight dinner or a special autumn meal.

How to make Chicken Apple Skillet

To start, cut your chicken breast into even ¾ inch or 2 cm strips, ensuring uniform size so they cook evenly.

Next, season the chicken generously with salt and pepper on both sides and sprinkle with dried thyme or rosemary.

Heat some olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, ensuring the pan is hot before adding the chicken. Place the seasoned chicken strips in the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan, so the chicken sears properly. Cook the chicken for 4 to 6 minutes on each side, allowing it to develop a golden brown crust while locking in the juices. You’ll know the chicken is ready to flip when it easily releases from the pan. Once done, transfer the chicken to a plate.

How to prepare the apples and the sauce

In the same skillet, add your apple slices, making sure they’re spread out in an even layer to ensure proper caramelization. Cook the apples for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side, turning them carefully once they soften and begin to brown.

I’ve used Gala apples for their natural sweetness and firm texture, but Honeycrisp apples or Granny Smith apples will be as good. Feel free to choose the variety that best suits your taste.

Next, stir in finely minced garlic and pour in your chicken or vegetable stock to deglaze the pan, scraping up any flavorful bits that have stuck to the bottom. Add honey, butter and apple cider vinegar. Let the mixture come to a gentle simmer, allowing all the flavors to meld together. As it cooks, the sauce will reduce slightly, filling the kitchen with a delightful sweet and savory aroma.

Once the sauce is ready, return the chicken to the skillet, making sure each piece is tossed and coated in the flavorful mixture. Allow the chicken to warm through and absorb some of the sauce, creating a perfect balance of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors.

For a final touch, garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme. Serve your chicken apple skillet alongside creamy mashed potatoes, fluffy rice, or crusty bread to soak up every last bit of that delicious sauce.

And there you have it, a simple yet flavorful Chicken Apple Skillet, perfect for any occasion. Hope you will try it out and enjoy it as much as we did. If you do, don’t forget to share the photos with me on Instagram. Would love to see how it turns out for you.

These Apple Crumble Muffins are a delightful combination of soft, moist muffins, infused with juicy apple pieces topped with a crunchy, buttery crumble. These treats begin with a tender muffin base, flavored with cinnamon and packed with juicy apple chunks. The muffins are made even more irresistible with the addition of a golden-brown crumble topping made from flour, sugar, butter, and a touch of cinnamon, adding a crisp texture that contrasts beautifully with the soft interior.

Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert, these muffins capture the essence of autumn in every bite. The apples bring natural sweetness and moisture, while the crumble topping offers a satisfying crunch. They can be made with a variety of apples, from tart Granny Smith to sweet Gala, depending on your flavor preference. Serve them warm, fresh out of the oven, or store them for later enjoyment. Pair them with a hot cup of coffee or tea for a cozy treat.

Easy to make and loved by the whole family, these Apple Crumble Muffins are a comforting treat perfect for any occasion.

How to make apple crumble muffins

Begin by preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lining a 12-cavity muffin pan with paper liners. Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces, tossing them with a tablespoon of flour in a medium bowl. This little trick will help keep the apples from sinking to the bottom of the muffins. Set aside.

In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In a large bowl, mix eggs with sugar and vanilla extract. For the best results, make sure the eggs are at room temperature. Start mixing slowly at first, then increase speed until the mixture becomes creamy and fluffy. Gradually, begin to incorporate the oil, pouring it in a slow, steady stream while you continue to mix.

Next, slowly alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk into the wet mixture, a little at a time. Be careful not to overmix, as we want to keep the batter light and airy. Once everything is just combined, go ahead and add the apple pieces. Using a spatula, gently fold them into the batter. Take your time to ensure the apple pieces are evenly distributed throughout, so every bite is packed with juicy apples.

Divide the batter evenly into the muffin cups,  filling them just below the top.

How to make the crumb topping

For the crumb topping, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter in a medium bowl, until the mixture forms a nice, crumbly texture.

Sprinkle the crumbs on top of each muffin, ensuring they’re all well-covered for that perfect crunchy finish on every bite.

Bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.  Once done, let them cool slightly, just enough so they’re warm but not too hot.

Now it’s time to enjoy these delicious apple crumble muffins! Give them a try, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with them just like we did. If you do, don’t forget to tag me in your Instagram stories or posts. Enjoy!

Enjoy the delicious flavor of ApfelStrudel with our Quick Apple Strudel with Puff Pastry and Vanilla Sauce. This scrumptious dessert combines the sweet goodness of apples with the flaky golden puff pastry. The result is a perfect balance of crispiness and tenderness that captures the essence of this beloved European pastry.  It is one of the most comforting desserts you can prepare during the apple season.

Thinly sliced apples are generously coated in a mixture of raisins, breadcrumbs, cinnamon and sugar, adding a warm, comforting flavor to every bite. The puff pastry wraps the apple filling in layers of buttery, golden goodness.

Our simple vanilla sauce is like the superstar topping for the ApfelStrudel. Pour it generously over the warm pastry, and you’ll get this creamy, sweet flavor that makes every bite extra delicious. It’s the special touch that turns a basic dessert into something amazing.

This Quick Apple Strudel is not just a dessert, it’s a celebration of flavors and textures, perfect for family gatherings, special occasions, or whenever you crave a bit of sweetness in your life.

How to make this quick apple strudel with puff pastry

Start by preheating your oven to 400F (200C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Now, let’s whip up the apple filling. I have used Golden apples this time but any other apples will work good, like Granny Smith, Gala or Fuji. Peel and core the apples, then slice them into thin slices. Toss these slices in a bowl with lemon juice, lemon zest, sugar, flour, cinnamon, breadcrumbs, and raisins. Set it aside.

Time to work with the pastry dough. Place it on the prepared baking sheet. Move fast to keep it cool. Mark a rectangle in the center of the sheet, leaving a 5-inch (12cm) border on each side and a 1-inch (2.5 cm) border at the top and bottom. Start making diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart on both sides of the rectangle. Ditch the four corners.

Spread that tasty apple filling in the middle of the dough. Now, fold the top and bottom parts of the dough over the filling.  Fold the diagonal strips of dough over the filling, alternating sides until all loaf is braided. Press ends to seal.

Give your apple strudel a nice brush with a beaten egg and sprinkle some sugar on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until it’s puffed up and lovely golden brown.

How to prepare the vanilla sauce

In a small saucepan, whisk together egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Gradually mix in the milk and cream, then put it on medium-low heat. Cook for about 6 minutes, stirring continuously until it thickens. No need to bring it to a boil. Set it aside until you’re ready to use it.

Once your apple strudel is baked to perfection, pour that vanilla sauce onto your serving plates. Add a slice of apple strudel and dust it with powdered sugar and enjoy.

Hope you will give this easy and quick apple strudel a try, it is simply delightful. If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Would love to see how it turns out for you.

Fresh, juicy apples are thinly sliced and infused with cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg creating a harmonious blend of flavors that is very comforting. The apple are generously layered over the buttery crust and covered with an oat and almond crumble topping

It is an easy, simple, and flavorful treat perfect for any occasion. It is perfect for sharing with friends and family, or just treating yourself to a moment of pure deliciousness. Everybody will be delighted and ask for more.

Whether enjoyed on its own or with a drizzle of Salted Caramel Sauce these Apple Pie Bars will surely turn into a favorite treat.

How to make apple pie bars

Begin by preheating your oven to 300°F (150°C) and grease an 8-inch (20cm) square baking pan with butter. Line the pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

To prepare the crust, take a medium bowl and combine softened butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until the ingredients form a creamy texture. Gradually add flour, ground almonds, and a touch of cinnamon.

Press the crust mixture evenly onto the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Bake it for approximately 15-18 minutes, or until it takes on a light golden brown hue. Once done, allow it to cool for a short while.

Increase the oven temperature to 350°F (180°C) to prepare for the next step. Now, let’s prepare the crumble topping. Combine the oats, flour, ground almonds, brown sugar, and a bit more cinnamon. Integrate the melted butter until the mixture forms coarse crumbs. Set this aside for later use.

Moving to the apple filling, peel and core the apples, then slice them into thin, ¼-inch (6mm) pieces. In a separate medium-sized bowl, gently toss the apple slices with sugar, a bit of flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Spread the tossed apple slices evenly over the crust in the baking pan. Next, generously sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples, ensuring an even distribution.

Bake for approximately 30-35 minutes until the crumble turn a light golden brown. The apples should also be tender.

Allow the bars to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours. Once chilled, carefully cut them into individual bars. For an extra touch of decadence, serve with a drizzle of salted caramel sauce.

Hope you will try them out and share them with family and friends. If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Enjoy!

These Apple Hand Pies are delightful treats bursting with autumn’s rich flavors. These little pastries are a perfect blend of buttery crust and tender, cinnamon apple filling, creating a cozy and comforting experience. They make a great snack, on-the-go treat or dessert

The base for Apple Hand Pies is its golden, flaky crust. This crust is made with flour, butter, a touch of sugar, and a pinch of salt. Rolled out thin and folded over the apple filling, it bakes to a crisp, yet tender perfection, adding a satisfying crunch to every bite.

The star of this delectable pastry is the apple filling. The apple is cut into small pieces and coated in a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and flour. While baking they transform into a fragrant, caramelized flavorful compote.

Whether enjoyed warm, with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or savored at room temperature with a steaming cup of tea, these Apple Hand Pies are an amazing treat for fall days.

How to make Apple Hand Pies

First, start by preparing the pie dough. In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour with a pinch of salt and sugar. Then, use a pastry blender, fork, or a pastry processor to incorporate butter until it forms crumbly bits. Add water and stir until fully integrated. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap, shaping it into a flat disk, and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

Next, it’s time to prepare the apple filling. Peel and core them, then cut them into small  pieces. Transfer these to a separate bowl and add sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of flour. Toss everything together to ensure the apples are evenly coated.

apple hand pies made with gala apples, brown sugar and cinnamon

On a surface lightly dusted with flour, roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch (3mm). Use a circular cutter measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) to create the pie crusts. Re-roll tge leftover dough and continue cutting circles until none remains.

Place about a tablespoon of the prepared apple filling in the center of each circle. Brush the edges of the circle with beaten egg, then fold the dough over the filling, creating a semi-circle. To secure the edges, use a fork to gently press them together.

Arrange the hand pies on the prepared baking tray. Brush the top of each pie with more beaten egg and sprinkle with brown sugar for a golden, sweet finish. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°F (180°C), or until they turn golden. Allow them to cool slightly before serving, and get ready to savor these homemade, golden-brown delights.

Hope you will try these comforting Apple Hand Pies and enjoy them as much as we did. If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Would love to see how they turn out for you.

How to make Apple Pecan Caramel Mousse Cake

The recipe for this incredible dessert is quick and each step is easy to prepare. Begin by preparing a delicious apple cake, then continue with an apple, pecan caramel crunchy layer and finish with a salted caramel mousse.

How to make the apple cake

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8-inch (20cm) pan with butter and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set this mixture aside for later.

In a larger bowl, add an egg, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil. Use  whisk or a hand mixer to mix them together until they are well combined.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Toss in diced apples and stir until everything is thoroughly mixed.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out evenly.

Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 13-15 minutes. To check if it’s done, insert a toothpick into the cake – it should come out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely before inverting  it to a serving plate.

Prepare the caramel pecan apple crunchy layer

Lower the oven temperature to 300°F (150°C). Spread pecans on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 15 minutes. Once cooled, chop the pecans into smaller pieces. Peel, core and cut an apple into small pieces.

In a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat, combine sugar and water. Allow it to cook without stirring until the sugar melts and turns into a rich caramel color. Add cream – it will bubble a bit. Toss in the apple pieces, butter, pecans, and salt. Stir constantly for about 2 minutes.

Spread this pecan apple caramel filling over the apple sponge cake, leaving a ½ inch (1cm) border and refrigerate while you move on to the next step.

Prepare the caramel mousse

Start by making the salted caramel sauce. Combine sugar and water in a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook without stirring until the sugar transforms into a caramel color.

Pour in cream – it will bubble slightly. Cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract, butter and salt. Stir until it’s smooth and then transfer it into a bowl to cool.

Dissolve gelatin in cold water and let it swell for 5 to 10 minutes. Gently heat the gelatin until it dissolves and then mix it into the caramel sauce.

Whip the remaining 1 1/2 cups (360g) of whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add the caramel mixture and mix until well combined.

Assemble the cake

Place a cake ring around the cake and line it with an acetate sheet.

Pour the caramel mousse on top of the cake. Use an offset spatula to smooth out the top.

Cover the cake and refrigerate it for 4-6 hours or overnight to allow it to set.

Finally, decorate the cake with cinnamon whipped cream, blueberries, caramel pecan shards, and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder.

How to make this giant apple cinnamon roll

The recipe is easy and pretty fun to prepare. It requires only a few ingredients you may already have in your pantry. No need for eggs, yeast or waiting for the dough to double in size. In less than 20 minutes this giant roll can be ready for baking.

First, you need to prepare the dough. For this, you simply need to whisk together the dry ingredients and then add the wet ingredients. Knead for a few minutes until the dough is smooth and pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Set aside the dough until you prepare the filling.

For this, mix melted butter with sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Peel and core a large apple or two smaller ones and cut into small cubes.

eggless giant apple cinnamon roll

Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread the butter-cinnamon mixture and add the apples. Cut into six equal strips. Roll the first strip, place it on top of the other and continue rolling until all strips are rolled. Press slightly and transfer to baking pan. Bake until golden for about 25 minutes, covering with aluminum foil if browns too fast.

While baking you can prepare the cinnamon cream cheese icing.
