This Sheet Pan BBQ Chicken and Roasted Veggies is a great idea for an easy one-pan quick dinner. This flavorful chicken is coated in honey, chili, and BBQ sauce and baked until tender alongside some perfectly roasted mixed potatoes and broccoli.

This sweet chili glaze is amazing. I love to use it over chicken as in this BBQ Chicken Wings recipe.

For this sheet pan, I use both regular and sweet potatoes.  They are bursting with flavor due to the  Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic, and herbs coating. The breadcrumbs make the potatoes crispier and I usually like to add a bit of breadcrumb to my potato recipes.

I have used broccoli this time for my BBQ Chicken Sheet Pan but feel free to use any other veggies that suit your tastes better. Brussels Sprouts, cauliflower, green beans, or asparagus are great choices for sheet pans.

This meal is quick and effortless to prepare, making it a great weeknight dinner option. Serve with a side of rice or crusty bread for a complete and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

For the chicken

BBQ Honey Sauce

  • 1/4 cup (60g) barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp (45g) honey
  • 1 tbsp (15g) hot chili sauce (sriracha)

For the Potatoes

  • 1 pound (450g) sweet potatoes
  • 1 pound (450g) potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp (1g) garlic powder
  • 1 ½ tbsp (12g) breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup (25g) Parmesan Cheese
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • mixed dried herbs , oregano, basil, thyme

For the Broccoli

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400F (200C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Place the barbecue sauce with honey and hot chili sauce into a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Cut potatoes into about 1 inch (2.5 cm) chunks. Add potatoes and sweet potatoes to a large bowl. Add olive oil, salt, pepper, herbs, garlic powder, breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese over the potatoes. Toss to coat.
  • Arrange the tossed potatoes on the baking sheet on one side.
  • Cut broccoli into florets and place into a large bowl. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil, season with salt and pepper and toss to coat.
  • Place the chicken and broccoli on the baking sheet. Season chicken breast with salt, pepper and smoked paprika if used.
  • Brush the chicken with honey BBQ sauce.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until veggies are tender and chicken is cooked through.
  • If broccoli cooks too fast, cover it with aluminum foil after the first 15 minutes.
  • Broil for a few minutes before removing the baking sheet from the oven.
  • Once it has finished baking remove the pan from the oven and add a bit more honey BBQ sauce to the chicken if desired.

To make these delicious Oven BBQ Chicken Wings, start by preheating your oven to 425F (220C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place an oven rack on top for even cooking.

In a large bowl, place the chicken wings and drizzle them with oil. Toss the wings in the oil until they are evenly coated. In a small bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Sprinkle this mixture over the chicken wings and toss again to ensure all the wings are evenly seasoned.

Arrange the seasoned chicken wings on the prepared rack in a single layer, allowing them to cook evenly. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, depending on the size of the wings. After the first 20 minutes, flip the wings once to ensure they brown evenly on both sides.

This is by far one of the best way of preparing chicken wings. The spicy sweet sticky sauce is simply amazing and hard to resist. You can always adjust the seasoning, use more or less spiciness depending if you serve this for kids or not. You can serve them as an appetizer alongside a ranch dipping sauce or as a main dish alongside some good fresh salad, potato salad or coleslaw. Enjoy!

Salmon is one of the most delicious and healthy fish you can prepare for your family or friends as is full of vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids. I usually like to use wild caught salmon whenever that is possible as it contains more minerals and less fat. This Baked Sesame Salmon is one of my favorite recipes I make pretty often for my family.

Baked Sesame Salmon on Baking Sheet

This Baked Sesame Salmon recipe is very easy and quick to prepare. The salmon pieces are marinated in a soy sauce, honey, ginger, sesame oil, and garlic mixture which gives salmon a great flavor and a great balance between sweet and spicy. There’s no way not to fall in love with this recipe from the first bite.

You can serve this Baked Sesame Salmon with your favorite roasted veggies and alongside rice.

How to make baked sesame salmon

Begin by combining ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil in a small bowl to create a flavorful marinade.

Next, cut the salmon into four pieces and season each piece with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Transfer the seasoned salmon pieces to a bowl and pour the soy sauce marinade over them. Cover the bowl and allow the salmon to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for enhanced flavor.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.

Arrange the marinated salmon pieces on the prepared baking pan and bake them for 15-20 minutes.

During baking, periodically brush the top of the salmon pieces with the marinade for added flavor infusion.

Once the salmon is cooked to perfection, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onion over the top for a delightful garnish.

Serve the baked salmon immediately over a bed of rice and alongside your favorite vegetables for a delicious and nutritious meal.

We have collaborated with Stubb’s Legendary BBQ  to prepare an easy and delicious Bacon Wrapped Chicken recipe you can prepare either in the oven or on an outdoor grill. The chicken is marinated in Stubb’s Chicken Marinade,  a blend of citrus, onion, and garlic that packs a fresh flavor with undertones of mustard seed and ginger while the acid from the citrus will make a moist and tender meat. Then the meat is brushed with Stubb’s Spicy BBQ Sauce, wrapped in bacon, and baked or grilled until chicken is cooked through.

I love using Stubb’s Bar-B-Q sauces, marinades, and rubs because they are made with quality, gluten-free ingredients, and never uses artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors.

The chicken prepared this way is incredibly tasty, looks really appetizing, and very easy to prepare. There are only a few ingredients involved and for sure will be the star of the meal.

How to make Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Begin with cutting each chicken breast in half lengthwise.

Season the chicken with Stubbs Chicken Marinade, a flavorful blend of citrus, onion, and garlic. This marinade not only adds a fresh taste but also tenderizes the meat with its citrus acidity. Refrigerate the seasoned chicken for at least 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 350 F (180C).

Next, brush all sides of the chicken with Stubbs Spicy BBQ Sauce. This sauce features tangy tomato, vinegar, molasses, and a blend of peppers including habanero, cayenne, and black pepper, adding a spicy kick to the dish.

Wrap a piece of bacon around each piece of chicken to infuse it with smoky flavor.

Place the chicken on a greased grill and bake for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, baste the chicken with more BBQ sauce. Return it to the oven for an additional 10 minutes.

For extra flavor, baste the chicken once more and return it to the oven for a final 5 minutes.

Serve the deliciously tender chicken with a side of fresh salad and extra BBQ sauce for dipping.

Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching and everybody is searching for the best ideas for this special dinner. For all those who consider a whole turkey might be too much this roasted turkey breast might be a wonderful solution. It is really easy to prepare, takes no more than 10 minutes to make the marinade, and once roasted you will have a wonderful looking roasted turkey, moist and flavorful.

Love this marinade, as it allows the roasting of the turkey breast without the skin, and it still remains moist and delicious. Not to mention that is healthier this way as well. The use of mustard is definitely a winner for me and will use it in many marinades for either chicken or turkey.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds (1.5 kg) turkey breast , boneless

Marinade

  • 3 tbsp (45g) Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tsp (3g) dried herbs (thyme , oregano
  • 2 tsp (6g) garlic powder
  • 1 tsp (5g) salt
  • 3 tbsp (42ml) olive oil
  • 1 tsp (3g) smoked paprika
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Additional Ingredients for Drippings gravy, optional

  • 1 tbsp (10g) flour
  • 1 cup (240ml) vegetable stock

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F (180C). Rinse the turkey well and pat it dry.
  • Place all the marinade ingredients, mustard, vinegar, herbs, salt and pepper, garlic, smoked paprika and olive oil,  into a bowl and stir to combine.

  • Rub the mixture all over the turkey. Refrigerate to marinate overnight, if possible, or leave at least 1 hr before roasting.

  • Place the turkey breast into a baking pan, or baking sheet.

  • Roast for 45 minutes to one hour, until the thermometer reaches 170F (77C).
  • Let it stand for a couple of minutes and slice to serve.
  • Prepare the gravy if desired. After removing the turkey to a serving platter, place the pan to the stove on medium heat. Add the flour. Stir to combine. Add the stock, stir and let it cook until thickened and smooth.

Fish is one of my family’s favorite type of meat, we cook with fish more than twice a week. It’s light, healthy, and full of vitamins and minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids. My daughters enjoy fish meals, especially like this Oven Grilled Fish, served with sour cream and garlic sauce or with my homemade lemon sauce.

We usually like fresh water fish, like trout, zander or bass, but we cook salmon and other types of fish as well. Whenever grilling outside is not possible, this method is one of the easiest ways to grill fish indoors. This Oven Grilled Fish is healthy, quick, and delicious, making a great meal.

I like to make some scores into the surface of the fish so all the good flavors combine. You can do that for either a whole fish or a fish fillet.

These days we bought a wild captured zander, one of our favorites, as the meat is very firm, and white, the flavor is very delicate and the bones are easy to remove. If zander is not available in your area use this method presented here for any other type of firm fish. It will work as well.

How to make Oven Grilled Fish

Start by scoring the fish’s surface with a sharp knife in 3 or 4 places. Sprinkle salt, pepper, lemongrass, and any desired herbs on all sides of the fish, including the inside. Place the seasoned fish in a bowl, cover it with foil, and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat your oven to 450F (230C) using the grill function. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil and place a rack on top to allow grease to drip. Put the fish on the rack and drizzle a little butter or vegetable oil over it. Put the tray in the preheated oven.

Allow the fish to cook for approximately 20-30 minutes, or until the skin becomes crispy and lightly golden. Keep a close watch to avoid burning.

Meanwhile, prepare the sour cream mixture by combining sour cream with minced garlic and salt.

Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the oven. Serve it with the sour cream mixture, lemon sauce, or lemon slices alongside your favorite side dish. These Sticky Chicken Drumsticks are an easy and delicious meal perfect for any occasion. The tender and flavorful sticky chicken drumsticks are baked to perfection with a sweet and tangy marinade. Paired with a crisp salad these sticky chicken drumsticks make for a perfect lunch or dinner option.

Preparing sticky chicken drumsticks couldn’t be simpler. Just whip up a flavorful marinade using honey, ginger, soy sauce, a dash of chili paste, and balsamic vinegar, then coat the chicken and bake until tender. I personally used my homemade chili jam for the chili paste, and it worked wonders in this recipe.

To achieve that irresistible caramelized, sticky surface, it’s crucial to baste the chicken frequently with the marinade while it bakes.

While I opted for drumsticks this time, this recipe works equally well with chicken wings or thighs.

How to make sticky chicken drumsticks

Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Score the chicken drumsticks to allow the marinade to infuse perfectly.

In a small bowl, prepare a flavorful blend of honey, ginger, soy sauce, chili paste, and vinegar. Coat the drumsticks generously with this marinade. For optimal taste, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes in a plastic bag.

Once ready, transfer the drumsticks to a greased baking dish and let them bake to perfection. As they cook, baste them with the reserved marinade every 10 minutes to achieve that irresistible sticky caramelization. After a total baking time of around 40 to 45 minutes, enjoy the golden-brown hue and fragrant aroma that fills your kitchen. Sprinkle chopped spring onions or chives on top for a fresh burst of flavor.

Serve these delectable drumsticks alongside a vibrant salad for a meal that everybody will love.

That’s something addictive about these flaky buttermilk biscuits. The first time I saw them I knew I have to give them a try as soon as I get the chance.

Very simple recipe, some folding and rolling over the dough and you get the most wanted layers you can get in a biscuit. The layers on my biscuits  apparently aren’t so visible maybe because I didn’t noticed the direction that say not to twist the cutter into the dough, which I am sure I did 😛 (my mistake), but the biscuits are so delicious, soft and flaky, they can make a perfect breakfast or a perfect snack for a friend/family gathering.  You can serve them as they are, or use them to create sandwich or simple with jam and milk.

The fact they have honey and buttermilk, not incredible much butter makes them quite healthy. If you try them with whole wheat is even better. Make sure not to add more flour than required other wise they won’t be as fluffy. In any case this is definitely a recipe that worth trying as is much much better than the traditional English scones.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cups (250g) flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp (70g) cold unsalted butter , cut into small cubes
  • 3/4 cup cold buttermilk
  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 1 egg yolk
  • Sesame and flex seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium-large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the butter cubes, and using a pastry cutter or fork cut the butter until the pieces are no bigger than peas. Refrigerate the bowl to chill for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, whisk together the buttermilk and honey. Add over the  butter/flour mixture and stir until the dry ingredients are moistened. Knead gently about 3-4 times to bring it together.
  • Lightly dust with flour the working surface and roll the dough into a 9×5-inch rectangle and about 1/2-inch thick. Fold the dough into thirds like a business letter,using the long sides of the rectangle. Repeat this step,  roll the dough into a 9×5-inch rectangle about 1/2-inch thick, and again fold it into thirds like a letter.
  • Finally roll the dough out to 3/4-inch thickness. Using a 2 inch round cutter, cut biscuits from the dough (don't twist the cutter, use a straight up and straight down motion).
  • Transfer to the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between them. Beat the egg yolk and brush the biscuits. Sprinkle sesame and flex seeds on top of each.
  • Bake for about 11-12 minutes, or until the biscuits have risen and are golden brown on top.
  • Transfer the biscuits to a wire rack to cool for a few minutes and serve warm.

With spring finally here, there’s nothing like spending time outdoors and firing up the grill to make this incredible Grilled Salmon.

This grilled salmon is simply irresistible. I dare say it’s the best I’ve ever had. The brown sugar glaze makes for a perfect marinade, striking a delightful balance between salty soy sauce and the sweetness of brown sugar, all infused with the flavors of garlic and lemon. What better way to welcome spring?

Pair this salmon with rice, fresh steamed or grilled veggies, or roasted potatoes for a complete meal that’s sure to impress your family and friends.

How to make grilled salmon

Begin with seasoning the salmon all over with salt and pepper.

Next, in a small bowl, create the marinade by mixing together soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil until the sugar is completely dissolved. Coat the salmon with the soy sauce mixture, then place it in a large casserole dish. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, turning the salmon once during this time.

Preheat the grill for cooking over medium heat.

Lightly oil the grill rack. Place the marinated salmon on the preheated grill and cook for about 8 minutes on each side until it’s cooked through.

Remove the salmon from the grill and serve immediately. Serve it alongside rice, fresh steamed or grilled veggies, or roasted potatoes.
