Greek Fried Feta with Honey and Sesame Seeds is a wonderful dish that brings together the rich flavors of Greece in a simple yet mouthwatering preparation.  It starts with a block of creamy feta cheese, cut into smaller pieces, either rectangular or triangles. These pieces are gently coated in a layer of these tiny, golden sesame seeds, creating a delightful texture contrast.

Then, it is gently pan-fried until it becomes beautifully crispy on the outside, while still keeping its soft, cheesy heart.

Once the feta is cooked, it’s generously drizzled with golden honey. This adds a touch of natural sweetness that harmonizes beautifully with the saltiness of the cheese. The honey not only provides a delightful contrast in taste but also creates a lovely glaze that enhances the overall appeal.

This Greek Fried Feta with Honey and Sesame Seeds is a true treat, balancing simplicity with an explosion of flavor. It’s easy to prepare and the result is a delightful blend of textures and tastes that everybody will love. Enjoy this Greek Fried Feta with Honey and Sesame Seeds as an appetizer or a delightful addition to any meal.

How to make Fried Feta with Honey and Sesame Seeds

To make this delightful Greek Fried Feta with Honey and Sesame Seeds, start by cutting the feta cheese into smaller pieces, either rectangles or triangles.

Next, prepare three plates: one with flour, one with sesame seeds and one with the beaten egg. Dredge each piece into the flour, then dip into the beaten egg, making sure to cover all sides thoroughly. Coat the feta with sesame seeds for a delightful crunch and nutty flavor.

Heat about ¼ cup (60g) of olive oil in a frying pan. Gently place the feta pieces into the pan and fry them until they turn a beautiful golden brown. Flip the feta pieces to fry the other side and edges, ensuring they are crispy all around.

Once they’re golden and crispy, carefully remove the fried feta and let them drain on paper towels to remove any excess oil.

Serve the fried feta while it’s still hot, and for an extra touch of sweetness, drizzle some honey over the top.

The creamy, salty feta is perfectly balanced by the sweet, golden honey, while the sesame seeds add a satisfying crunch. It’s a dish that captures the essence of Greek cuisine in a simple, yet incredibly satisfying way. Hope you will try this amazing dish and don’t forget to tag me on Instagram if you do.

Vegetable Egg Rolls are a widely enjoyed take-out appetizer that can be easily executed in your kitchen.

This vegetarian version requires only a few basic ingredients, but by the time all is said and done, the results are quite gratifying, and soon enough you will find yourself regretting you did not make more of them to begin with. The sesame ginger dipping sauce recipe featured here really complements them and enhances their flavor.

When it comes to what could constitute a great filling or dipping sauce as far as egg rolls, the possibilities are quite ample. Pork, chicken, or tofu are wonderful protein additions for the rolls while sweet and sour, spicy peanut, or sweet chili would make great dipping sauce choices.

How to make vegetable egg rolls

To start, whip up a quick dipping sauce by combining all the ingredients in a jar and giving it a good shake.

Now, prepare the filling for your egg rolls. In a large pan or wok, heat up some oil and sauté garlic, green onion, and ginger until fragrant. Add in cabbage, carrots, and peppers, season with salt and pepper, and cook until they’re nice and tender. Transfer these veggies to a bowl and let them cool down.

Once your filling is ready, it’s time to assemble the egg rolls. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto each wrapper, roll them up, fold in the sides, and seal the edges with a bit of beaten egg. Repeat until all your wrappers are filled, then cover the rolls with plastic wrap until you’re ready to cook.

How to cook the rolls

Now, you’ve got two options for cooking: frying or baking. For frying, heat up your oil to 350°F (180°C) and fry the egg rolls a few at a time until they’re crispy and golden brown. Drain them on paper towels to get rid of any excess oil.

If you prefer baking, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the rolls on the sheet, brush them with olive oil, and bake for about 15 minutes until they’re nice and crispy.

Once your egg rolls are cooked, serve them warm with that tasty dipping sauce you made earlier.

I hope you have fun making these vegetable egg rolls! Don’t forget to tag me in your Instagram posts or stories, so I can see your amazing results. Enjoy!

Crispy Onion Rings are a classic snack or appetizer that have been around for decades, and for good reason. The combination of a crunchy exterior and a soft, sweet interior make for a delicious and satisfying treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. And when it comes to making onion rings, nothing beats the homemade variety.

Crispy onion rings are particularly popular, and for good reason. They provide a satisfying crunch that is irresistible, and are perfect for dipping in a variety of sauces. Whether you’re watching the big game, hosting a party, or just looking for a tasty snack, crispy onion rings are always a great choice.

The key to making perfect onion rings lies in the batter. It needs to be just the right consistency, with the right combination of ingredients to create a crispy, golden brown exterior that complements the sweetness of the onion.

When it comes to choosing the right onion, yellow or white onions are the most commonly used, but you can experiment with other varieties as well.

Not only are homemade onion rings delicious, they’re also very easy to make. And because you’re making them yourself, you can customize them to your liking by adjusting the spices or trying different dipping sauces. So why not give them a try and see for yourself just how good they can be? Make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram if you do. Enjoy!

How to make crispy onion rings

In a medium bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, oregano, and salt. Add the egg and gradually whisk in milk until the mixture becomes smooth.

Next, cut the onion into ¼ inch (6mm) slices and carefully separate the rings. Coat the onion rings in the flour mixture, allowing the excess to drip off, before coating them in breadcrumbs. Repeat the process until all the rings are coated.

Heat oil in a skillet or pan and fry the rings in batches until they turn golden brown, which usually takes about 2-3 minutes. Once done, transfer the onion rings to a plate lined with paper towels to remove any excess oil.

Finally, serve your crispy onion rings with your favorite dipping sauce.

Chicken Cordon Bleu is a classic French dish that has been popular for many years. Its name, “Cordon Bleu,” comes from the French phrase “Cordon Bleu,” which means “blue ribbon.” The dish was originally served to members of the Order of the Holy Spirit, which was an exclusive group of knights that were appointed by the French monarchy. Over time, the recipe for Chicken Cordon Bleu has evolved and has become a popular dish in many parts of the world.

One of the things that makes Chicken Cordon Bleu so appealing is the combination of flavors and textures that it offers. The chicken is tender and juicy, while the ham adds a salty and savory taste. The melted cheese inside the chicken adds a creamy and gooey texture that is simply irresistible. The panko breadcrumbs give the dish a satisfying crunch that complements the other flavors and textures perfectly.

Preparing Chicken Cordon Bleu is not complicated at all, and it can be done relatively quickly. The chicken is pounded thin, which helps it cook evenly and allows for the filling to be added easily. Once the chicken is filled with ham and cheese, roll and coat in a mixture of egg and panko breadcrumbs. Then bake or fry until it is crispy and golden brown.

There are many ways to serve Chicken Cordon Bleu. It is delicious on its own, but it can also be served alongside a fresh salad or with your favorite side dish. For an extra special treat, you can serve it with a cheese sauce, which will enhance the flavor of the melted cheese inside the chicken.

How to make Chicken Cordon Bleu

To begin, start by cutting chicken breasts in half lengthwise and pounding them between sheets of plastic wrap until they are ¼ inch (6 mm) thick. After seasoning the slices with salt and pepper, add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard and top with slices of ham and cheese.

Roll the chicken tightly using the plastic sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes. While the chicken is chilling, prepare three large plates with flour, beaten egg, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and garlic.

Next, dredge the chicken rolls in flour, dip them in the beaten egg, and coat them with the breadcrumb mixture. Fry the chicken rolls in a frying pan with hot oil until they are golden brown and cooked through. Transfer them to a plate lined with a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Finally, serve the chicken rolls alongside a fresh salad or your favorite side dish. This dish is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal and is sure to be a hit with your family and friends. The combination of tender chicken, salty ham, and melted cheese makes for a truly irresistible meal.

If you haven’t tried Chicken Cordon Bleu before, you are missing out on one of the most delicious and satisfying dishes around. Give it a try and see for yourself why it has become such a popular dish all over the world. Your family and friends will thank you for it! Ever since I’ve tried cannoli for the first time in Italy I’ve been eager to try them at home. I really like to take on new cooking challenges as once fulfilled they bring me a lot of satisfaction. I kind of stay away from fried desserts but these Cannoli Siciliani got my attention and I knew I had to try them out sooner or later. And I am glad I did because I simply love them. These crispy pastry tubes are filled with a flavorful ricotta filling and dipped in chopped crunchy pistachios. Their beautiful flavor and texture combination is irresistible and you can hardly stop from eating just one.

Cannoli Siciliani is the kind of dessert that you can easily prepare in advance as you can prepare the shells even a week before serving. Every time, fill the shells only before serving so you can enjoy the crispy texture of the shells along with the smooth ricotta filling and crunchy nuts. You can always make variations to the ricotta filling, adding chocolate chips, candied fruits, different types of nuts, or whatever you like best.

How to make Cannoli Siciliani

Begin by preparing the shell dough. In a bowl add the flour, salt, cinnamon, and sugar. The butter is incorporated into the dry ingredients, using a fork or a pastry blender, until delightful crumbs form. Add egg and Marsala wine into the mixture, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it reaches a smooth consistency.

Shape the dough into a ball and place in the refrigerator  where it needs to rest for an hour.

In the meantime, prepare the ricotta filling. Place the ricotta cheese in a sieve, allowing any excess moisture to drain away in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes. Transfer it to a bowl where you add powdered sugar and vibrant lemon or orange zest. Combine these ingredients and  refrigerate until ready to use.

How to shape the cannoli shells

On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough until it reaches a thinness of approximately 1/16 inch (1-2 mm). Carefully, cur circles measuring 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. Reroll the dough until every last bit of dough has been used.

Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep pot or fryer until it reaches 320-350°F (160-180°C). Line a baking sheet with paper towels and lightly grease the cannoli tubes with oil.

Next, roll each circle of dough into a 4.5-inch (12 cm) oval shape. Wrap the oval dough around the cannoli tube, brush one edge with egg white, then overlap the edges and press gently to seal them.

Once the oil is hot, place 2 or 3 cannoli at a time into the oil and fry for approximately 2 minutes, or until they turn golden brown, making sure to rotate them for even cooking. Place over a paper towel once ready.

Place the ricotta filling into a piping bag fitted with a large tip and fill each cannoli shell. Dip each end in chopped pistachios and dust with powdered sugar.

Hope you’ll try them out and enjoy! Don’t forget to tag me in your Instagram posts or stories, so I can see your amazing results.

Everyone loves doughnuts, of all kinds, no doubt about that. As apple season is here these soft, fluffy Apple Doughnuts filled with spiced apples are simply one of the best treats you can enjoy this fall.

These doughnuts are fried plain, without any filling. I’ve prepared the filling separately, allowing you to customize them with your favorite flavors. Feel free to switch it up with seasonal fruits or get creative with options like chocolate, vanilla pastry cream, caramel, and more.

If you’re looking for a healthier option, you could also consider baking the doughnuts, although the texture may vary slightly.

How to make Apple Doughnuts

Prepare the doughnut dough by whisking together flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. In a small bowl, stir fresh yeast with 1 tsp sugar until it liquefies. Dissolve the yeast in 1/4 cup milk and then add it to the flour mixture.

Add the oil, egg, and the remaining milk, then knead until smooth and the dough slightly pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for about 1 hour at room temperature until it doubles in size.

How to make apple filling

For the apple filling, place apple pieces, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and water in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until the apples are soft. Transfer the apples into a bowl and set aside to cool until ready to use.

How to shape the doughnuts

On a floured surface, roll the dough with a rolling pin until it is ½ inch thick. Use a doughnut cutter or a 3-inch round cutter to cut out the doughnuts. Re-roll the remaining dough and continue cutting until no dough is left. Place the doughnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart. Cover them with a kitchen towel and let them rest for about 30 minutes.

How to fry doughnuts

In a bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon. Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pot or fryer to 320-350°F (160-180°C). Line another baking sheet with paper towels. Once the oil is hot, carefully place 2 or 3 doughnuts at a time upside down and fry until lightly golden brown on the bottom. Flip and fry the other side until golden brown. Remove each doughnut and drain it on paper towels. Repeat until all of the doughnuts are fried.

How to fill the apple doughnuts

While the doughnuts are still hot, toss each one with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Transfer the apple filling into a piping bag fitted with a plain tip. Use a skewer to create a hole on the side of each doughnut, then fill each one with apple filling.

Give these Apple Doughnuts a try—I hope you’ll enjoy making them as much as we did! Don’t forget to tag me in your Instagram posts or stories, so I can see your amazing results. Cheers.

Making Baked Scotch Eggs is not as hard as some may think and makes such a great dish for either breakfast or for any other time of the day. They can be a great picnic dish or party snack as well. Can be made in various sizes using either chicken eggs or smaller quail eggs. The classic scotch eggs are deep-fried but baking them makes them a bit healthier and they turn out very well.

For this dish, it is very important to use good quality sausage meat as is one of the main ingredients. I have coated the scotch eggs with both breadcrumbs and cornflakes and I enjoyed the cornflakes ones best. Feel free to choose the coating that you best like. These baked scotch eggs look and taste amazing and are best served warm with your favorite dipping sauce, pickles, or cheese.

How to make baked Scotch Eggs

Put the eggs into a medium pan, cover them with cold water, and bring to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes, then transfer them to a bowl of ice-cold water. Peel the eggs when they have cooled.

In a medium bowl, combine sausage meat with nutmeg, mustard, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper. Divide the mixture into four parts.

Take one piece of sausage mixture, form a ball, and flatten it into a patty. Roll the egg in flour and shape the sausage patty around the egg. Repeat this step with the remaining eggs.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll each meat-wrapped egg into flour, then dip it into beaten eggs and coat it with either breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes.

Place the eggs on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 35 minutes until the sausage is completely cooked. Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

My daughters have a fondness for tuna in all its forms, often requesting the “pink-colored meat” with enthusiasm. To keep things interesting, I’m always on the lookout for new ways to serve it. Creating these Potato Tuna Patties has proven to be one of the most successful approaches.

These tuna patties are easy to make, using simple ingredients you have in your pantry and fridge, and pretty quick too. You can even have your potatoes boiled one day before and save some more time. Tuna in combination with mashed potato, corn, lemon, and green onion seems to be a winner for our family and I am certain it will be for you too. Just give them a try.

The beautiful thing about these potato tuna patties is that they can be served either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner alongside a fresh salad and your favorite dipping sauce, either as an appetizer. They keep well refrigerated and can be used for the next day’s meal, either warm or cold.

How to make potato tuna patties

Start by mashing the boiled potatoes using a potato masher until smooth. Next, add the tuna flakes and mix them in with a fork. Then, incorporate the corn kernels, chopped spring onions, egg, and breadcrumbs into the mixture.

Finish by adding lemon zest and seasoning with salt and pepper, stirring well to ensure everything is thoroughly combined. Divide the mixture into 12 portions and shape them into patties. Coat each patty with breadcrumbs by pressing them gently onto each side.

In a nonstick pan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Cook the patties for approximately 3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown. Once cooked, transfer the patties to a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.

If needed, clean the pan with a paper towel before repeating the cooking process for any remaining patties. Serve the patties with your favorite salad and sauce—we recommend trying them with our homemade chili jam for an extra kick of flavor.

Hope you will try these delightful potato tuna patties. If you do, make sure to share the photos with me on Instagram. Enjoy your delicious meal!
