Did you know you can prepare baked donuts as good as fried ones without the guilt? These Baked Mini Cinnamon Sugar Donuts are amazingly soft and flavorful, kids’ favorite every time I make them. The recipe comes together in just a few minutes, using basic ingredients you already have at home. It is so easy and quick to prepare them at home as for these donuts you don’t even need yeast or eggs and they don’t require deep frying either.

After baking, these donuts are brushed with a bit of melted butter or vegetable oil and coated into a cinnamon sugar mixture and then are ready for serving right away.

You can follow this recipe to make different types of donuts. Instead of putting on a coating, you can dip them in various glazes like Nutella, melted chocolate, or caramel, and many more.

How to make Baked Mini Cinnamon Sugar Donuts

Get ready by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) and putting parchment paper on a baking sheet.

Prepare the dough by mixing in a big bowl, the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add in buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract. Stir everything well until it’s smooth.

Put the dough on a surface with a little oil. Use a slightly greased rolling pin to make the dough about ½ inch (1 cm) thick.

Use a donut cutter or a 2.5-inch (6 cm) round cookie cutter to shape the donuts. For the hole in the middle, use a 3/4-inch (2 cm) round cutter. For the dough left, roll it again and keep making more donuts until you use it all up.

Place the donuts on the baking sheet, keeping about 2 inches (5 cm) between them. Bake the donuts for 7-8 minutes. Make sure not to bake them too much – you want them just right.

While the donuts are baking, mix sugar and cinnamon together for the coating. Melt the butter too.

When the donuts are done, brush each one with melted butter and then roll them in the sugar-cinnamon mix.

Now, you’re all set to enjoy your delicious Baked Cinnamon Sugar Donuts!  Hope you will try these out and if you do tag me on Instagram. Enjoy!

Some time ago, I received this recipe for doughnuts from a dear friend, and only now have I had the chance to try it out. I love it, and I’m sorry I didn’t try it sooner. My little girls enjoy these No Yeast Yogurt Doughnuts so much. These fluffy little balls of fried dough, served slightly warm and dusted with powdered sugar can make a great treat during the day or even for breakfast, alongside a good coffee or tea.

This recipe is so easy that you need less than 30 minutes to have them ready to serve. As they are made with no yeast, you don’t have to wait for the dough to rise, and there is no need to roll the dough and cut. It is very easy, you just need to mix the ingredients for the dough and it’s ready to be fried.

You can either drop teaspoons of dough in the hot oil or use a piping bag to get similar little balls of doughnuts. They can also be a perfect dish for whenever you have unexpected guests and wish to give them a warm welcome. Hope you will try these No Yeast Yogurt Doughnuts and enjoy!

How to make easy no-yeast yogurt doughnuts

Begin with whisking together flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. Add beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and Greek yogurt, mixing until combined.

In a medium skillet or pot, heat oil over medium heat. Drop teaspoons of dough into the oil or use a piping bag to squeeze out 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces of dough and cut with scissors for each doughnut.

Allow the doughnuts to fry until they fluff up and turn golden brown on all sides, turning them around if needed with a spatula.

Once cooked, transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Dust with powdered sugar before serving and enjoy!

Hope you’ll try them out. Don’t forget to tag me in your Instagram posts or stories, so I can see your amazing results.

Everyone loves doughnuts, of all kinds, no doubt about that. As apple season is here these soft, fluffy Apple Doughnuts filled with spiced apples are simply one of the best treats you can enjoy this fall.

These doughnuts are fried plain, without any filling. I’ve prepared the filling separately, allowing you to customize them with your favorite flavors. Feel free to switch it up with seasonal fruits or get creative with options like chocolate, vanilla pastry cream, caramel, and more.

If you’re looking for a healthier option, you could also consider baking the doughnuts, although the texture may vary slightly.

How to make Apple Doughnuts

Prepare the doughnut dough by whisking together flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. In a small bowl, stir fresh yeast with 1 tsp sugar until it liquefies. Dissolve the yeast in 1/4 cup milk and then add it to the flour mixture.

Add the oil, egg, and the remaining milk, then knead until smooth and the dough slightly pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for about 1 hour at room temperature until it doubles in size.

How to make apple filling

For the apple filling, place apple pieces, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and water in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until the apples are soft. Transfer the apples into a bowl and set aside to cool until ready to use.

How to shape the doughnuts

On a floured surface, roll the dough with a rolling pin until it is ½ inch thick. Use a doughnut cutter or a 3-inch round cutter to cut out the doughnuts. Re-roll the remaining dough and continue cutting until no dough is left. Place the doughnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart. Cover them with a kitchen towel and let them rest for about 30 minutes.

How to fry doughnuts

In a bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon. Heat 2 inches of oil in a deep pot or fryer to 320-350°F (160-180°C). Line another baking sheet with paper towels. Once the oil is hot, carefully place 2 or 3 doughnuts at a time upside down and fry until lightly golden brown on the bottom. Flip and fry the other side until golden brown. Remove each doughnut and drain it on paper towels. Repeat until all of the doughnuts are fried.

How to fill the apple doughnuts

While the doughnuts are still hot, toss each one with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Transfer the apple filling into a piping bag fitted with a plain tip. Use a skewer to create a hole on the side of each doughnut, then fill each one with apple filling.

Give these Apple Doughnuts a try—I hope you’ll enjoy making them as much as we did! Don’t forget to tag me in your Instagram posts or stories, so I can see your amazing results. Cheers.

Who doesn’t love doughnuts, especially when topped with Nutella glaze? These baked doughnuts are not only healthier but also incredibly delicious. Plus, you don’t need a doughnut pan or special cutter to make them. I simply used two round cutters of different sizes, and they worked perfectly.

As long as the doughnuts are not overbaked, they remain soft and fluffy inside. You can top them with your favorite glazes and sprinkles. This Nutella glaze is both delicious and easy to prepare, and it was a hit with everyone. For the best experience, serve these Baked Doughnuts with Nutella Glaze immediately after baking to delight your taste buds.

How to make baked doughnuts with Nutella

Begin by preparing the dough. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and 1/3 cup sugar.

In a small bowl, stir fresh yeast with 1 tsp sugar until it liquefies. Dissolve the yeast in 1/3 cup milk, then add this to the flour mixture. Add the butter, egg, and remaining milk, and start kneading until the dough is smooth and begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for about 1 hour at room temperature (in a warm space) until it has doubled in size.

How to cut the doughnuts

On a floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll the dough to a thickness of 1/2 inch (1 cm).

Use a doughnut cutter or a 3-inch (7.5 cm) round cutter to cut out the doughnuts, and an 1 1/4 inch (3 cm) round cutter for the inner circle. Re-roll the remaining dough and cut out more doughnuts until no dough is left.

Place the doughnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Cover with plastic wrap and let them sit for about 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake the doughnuts for 8-10 minutes until they are slightly golden brown. Be careful not to overbake them.

While the doughnuts cool slightly, prepare the Nutella glaze. In a bowl, combine Nutella with cream. If the mixture is too thick, gradually add more cream until the desired consistency is reached.

Dip the doughnuts halfway into the glaze. Use a knife to spread the glaze where necessary. Add nuts or sprinkles on top if desired.
